In a special meeting Thursday afternoon, the Post Falls City Council voted to approve an ordinance raising the salaries of the mayor and city councilmen.
The council, in a 6-0 vote, changed the annual salary of the mayor to $32,082 and $12,339 for each city councilman. Benefits are included on top of the annual salaries.
Previously, 2019 was the last time the city council voted to give themselves raises to $10,282 annually while the mayor was $24,678 plus benefits.
Salary increases will begin on January 1, 2024.
