In a recent article posted to The Idaho Tribune, we explored various reasons why Coeur d’Alene did not see the riotous mobs so many other metropolitan areas have experienced over the last few years. While the rest of the country burned, Coeur d’Alene remained entirely peaceful, solely due to the fact that this quiet town is predominantly conservative, and when trouble brews, citizens line the streets with rifles to quell riotous & destructive behavior.
Soon after Kyle Rittenhouse was declared innocent by a jury, many residents, including the chairman of the Kootenai County GOP, Brent Regan, took to social media declaring their support for the Rittenhouse family, welcoming them to relocate to a “safe and conservative” community like Coeur d’Alene.
In a post to Facebook, the KCRCC Chair, Brent Regan said that “If Kyle wants a normal life he should move to Kootenai County where he would be among thousands who would bear arms to defend against thugs.”
Brent is not lying. Back in 2020, when Antifa and Black Lives Matter mobs ransacked countless American cities, resulting in dozens of deaths and many millions of dollars worth of damage, residents of Coeur d’Alene lined the streets in the hundreds, openly carrying firearms in a show of force. Unlike many other cities across the United States, Coeur d’Alene did not experience rioting mobs.
Many other residents throughout Coeur d’Alene echoed Brent’s sentiment, declaring Coeur d’Alene a safe place for Kyle and his family to relocate.
In a response to an attorney’s Twitter, another resident posted that “the residents of Coeur d'Alene invite his [Kyle Rittenhouse] family to move here. We're always in need of good people”
While detractors (Democrats) have claimed the presence of firearms on Main Street in Coeur d’Alene is “intimidating” — they fail to mention the fact that while cities like Kenosha have spent millions of dollars fixing damaged property due to riotous mobs, Coeur d’Alene has spent ZERO dollars cleaning up after the mob, due to our so-called “intimidating” residents who practice their right to bear arms.
Intimidation tactics from the likes of Antifa or Black Lives Matter do not work here, and you will not see them on our streets. You will not find our shops boarded up, nor their windows smashed. You will not see burning vehicles or buildings. We do not have the problems of other major cities, because the people of North Idaho are God-fearing conservatives who all respect the Second Amendment.
You will fit right in here in the pristine North Idaho city of Coeur d’Alene, where you will find you have many more allies than you do enemies. You will not have to look over your shoulder, nor worry for your safety. Idaho, as beautiful as it is on the outside, has some of the greatest people the United States of America has ever produced, and they welcome you to share this wonderful place with them.
